The two upstairs guestrooms, Rose Room and Lavender Room, each offer queen size pillow top beds, desk and chair, wool rugs, TV with DVD and VHS, ceiling fans and comfort galore. The private bathrooms feature a 6-foot tub and shower combination which should satisfy tall guests. Each room rents for $125 per night plus 6% sales tax.

Cabin on the Hill ... The Cabin on the Hill was built in 1990 as a retreat from the heat of the summer, while working on the property. It was also a getaway for the family, when we needed to rest. In 2010, we began upgrades on the cabin and completed our work in the Spring of 2012.

The cabin has a combined living room kitchen area, and we love our retro kitchen with a bench and yellow counter tops.

For our guests' convenience, there is a compact refrigerator for cold drinks and food, a microwave and coffee maker. We furnish the coffee and filters and 6 bottled waters during your stay.

This one-bedroom cabin has a queen-sized pillow top bed and a seating area for reading. The bathroom's old clawfoot tub is the "wow" in this completely renovated space. We updated the bath to include a shower, too.

All this, plus a front porch with two rockers and plenty of fresh country air, awaits your stay at the Cabin on the Hill. The cabin books at $160 per night, with a two-night minimum, only. (more photos)

Reservations Information

• Rooms may be guaranteed with an advance deposit equal to the first night's stay by credit card or check.
• If you cancel your reservation less than 4 days before your arrival, your first night's room charge plus applicable taxes is nonrefundable.
• If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours in advance, or do not arrive for your reservation as scheduled, or depart early, you will be charged for the entire stay.
• Reservations made for WVU football games must be a two night stay and payment is due upon booking. Money cannot be refunded if you decide not to stay.
• Two night stay minimum on most weekends

For government employees traveling on official business, we offer a 10% discount, with the following restrictions:

• Weekdays only
• One guest per room
• Breakfast is offered at an additional charge
